Overview
The Sport and Recreation Management program prepares students to work in the exciting and interactive business of sport management, sport marketing and recreation-related industries. Courses of study cover sport and recreation management and marketing; sport economics; recreation programming; legal aspects of sport; sport governance; project management; community sport and recreation supervision. Students will participate in a variety of relevant, practical learning experiences which will culminate in the final semesters of the program with work placement. Students will experience, first hand, what it is like to be involved in the world of sport and recreation management.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Entry requires an OSSD with the majority of credits at College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level, plus Grade 12 English at the College, University or University/College level. Mature applicants without an OSSD may write the College's admission tests. No programme-specific language score is published, so the institution-wide diploma-level English requirement applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110, within two years. Domestic applicants apply through Ontario Colleges; international applicants through International OCAS. The programme is currently open, with a September intake.
