Program details
Overview
The Master of Public Administration (M.A.P.) is a two-year, 45-credit graduate degree offered by Universite de Moncton at its Moncton campus, with a five-year part-time option. The program examines the policies, structures and environment of public and parapublic organizations, covering public management, human resource management, principles and issues in public administration, public policy analysis, and applied research interventions. Fifteen credits of mandatory courses are combined with 30 elective credits, which students complete through directed readings, an internship, or a wide range of options in governance, strategic management, municipal administration, climate policy, Indigenous governance, organizational theory and public participation. Graduates are equipped to critically analyze public-sector policy and structure, understand politico-administrative issues, apply current management practices, and communicate complex analysis orally and in writing, preparing them for management and policy roles in public and parapublic organizations.
