Overview
This four-year Bachelor's degree in Arts and Letters (programme code 1-990-1-2) is designed for students who completed secondary or pre-university studies outside Quebec on a diploma not equivalent to the Quebec DEC. It combines a first year of 24 preparatory credits, including up to 6 credits of French-language courses depending on prior proficiency, with discipline-specific study chosen from more than 30 available orientations such as German studies, English studies, philosophy, history, and comparative literature. After the preparatory year, students complete three years of coursework within their chosen discipline, following the same disciplinary curriculum as students admitted directly into that discipline. Day classes are offered, with optional internships and the possibility of an international study term during the degree. A single application covers admission to the pathway.
