Concordia University is an English-language public research university in Montreal, Quebec, created by the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University.
It operates two campuses: the downtown Sir George Williams campus in Montreal's central business district and the Loyola campus in the city's west end, linked by a free inter-campus shuttle. Teaching is organised across six academic units — the Faculty of Arts and Science, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, the John Molson School of Business, the School of Health and the School of Graduate Studies.
In 2025-26 Concordia enrolled 43,922 students in credit courses, of whom 8,781 (20%) were international students, alongside a further 4,653 non-credit enrolments in Continuing Education. Concordia is known for co-operative education, coordinated through the Institute for Co-operative Education, which places students in paid work terms across engineering, computer science, business and arts prograMs. The Gina Cody School is the first engineering and computer science faculty in Canada to be named after a woman, and the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in the Faculty of Fine Arts is one of the country's best-known film schools.
The John Molson School of Business holds both AACSB and EQUIS accreditation.
Undergraduate degrees generally run 90 to 120 credits and the MBA requires a minimum of 45 credits. Instruction is in English, and students enrolled in certain French Language, French Literature or Quebec Studies programs may be exempt from the supplementary (forfaitaire) fee charged to out-of-province Canadian and international students.
