This 90-credit bachelor's programme situates Quebec and Canadian history within North American and global contexts, giving students a solid grounding in historical method and in how history is practised in the twenty-first century. Course offerings extend beyond Quebec and Canada to Byzantine history, the Renaissances, the Ottoman Empire, Latin America, Africa, and China, and instruction in historiography and source analysis begins from the first term through small-group teaching with close mentoring. Students who complete at least 30 credits with a cumulative average of 2.9 on a 4.3 scale may pursue an international profile, taking 12 or more credits abroad over a minimum of one semester. The programme is delivered on the Trois-Rivieres campus, full-time or part-time, with admission each fall and winter term, leading to a Bachelor of Arts.
