The Certificat en intervention policiere is a 30-credit undergraduate certificate offered by Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres for working police officers pursuing professional development. The programme builds a foundation in police intervention by drawing on the social sciences, law, psychology, management, criminology, sociology, intercultural communication, and applied ethics. Certain courses are delivered in intensive format at the Ecole nationale de police du Quebec (ENPQ). The certificate can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis, with admission in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms, and is intended to deepen the grounding of officers already working in policing rather than to prepare new entrants to the profession. It is not open to international applicants.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a DEC or AEC (Attestation d'etudes collegiales) in police techniques and be employed by a police force recognised by the Ecole nationale de police du Quebec (ENPQ) as a police officer, or be admitted on an experience basis through employment with a recognised police force.
