Overview

The Maitrise en communication sociale is a 45-credit Master of Arts offered by Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres. The programme examines social communication as the capacity of individuals to produce artefacts, construct and interpret messages, and connect with others, with emphasis on the co-construction of texts and audience reception processes rather than isolated content analysis. It combines 18 credits of mandatory coursework with 27 credits devoted to thesis research, giving substantial weight to independent research training and to developing a specialization grounded in the scholarly literature and its theoretical foundations.
