This certificate develops a general and specialised writing practice, improving the quality of written and spoken French alongside analytical and synthesis skills and the ability to communicate using both traditional and specialised computer writing tools. Over 30 credits on the Trois-Rivieres campus, offered full-time or part-time (with part-time study available in the summer term), it opens with three required courses on writing technique, grammar and discourse analysis, followed by five to seven elective courses in language analysis, media writing or oral communication, plus up to six complementary credits from outside the programme. Admission follows a Quebec college diploma (DEC) in general or professional studies or equivalent, or an experience-based route requiring relevant knowledge or work in a field where written communication matters; adult candidates may be asked to attend an interview. Admission is offered in the fall, winter and summer terms without an enrolment cap, and the programme is open to international applicants, who must study full-time to meet immigration requirements.
