This Bachelor of Engineering (B.Ing.) in Geomatics Engineering, offered uniquely in Quebec, develops expertise in geospatial technologies including satellite positioning (such as GPS), database management, mobile mapping, satellite image processing, and 3D modelling. The 120-credit programme, completed over four years of full-time study, includes intensive one- to two-week practical field labs each year and gives students access to specialized equipment such as high-precision GPS receivers and LiDAR sensors. Up to three paid internships are available starting in the first year, and the programme draws on research centres with international recognition built on more than a century of institutional expertise in geomatics. It is offered by Université Laval's Faculty of Science and Engineering with admission sessions in fall and winter. The Faculty of Science and Engineering also offers an international exchange profile for students who wish to complete part of their studies abroad.
