Université TÉLUQ is a French-language public distance university headquartered in Québec City and part of the Université du Québec network.
Created in 1972 as the Télé-université, it is the only francophone university in North America to deliver all of its programs and courses entirely at a distance. Close to 20,000 students enrolled in 2022-23, its 50th academic year.

More than 140 distance programs and over 530 online courses are offered through four academic units: the Education department, the Science and Technology department, the Humanities, Letters and Communication department, and the School of Administrative Sciences.
Credentials range from certificates and 90-credit bachelor's degrees to DESS graduate diplomas, master's degrees, and a doctorate in cognitive computer science (the joint TÉLUQ-UQAM doctorate in cognitive computer science is the exception — its required coursework takes place on campus in Montréal). Billing is per course rather than per year: a 3-credit course costs 461.21 $ for Québec residents, 1,473.98 $ for anyone studying from outside Québec (including international distance students), and 2,418.95 $ for international students residing in Québec (first cycle), with reduced rates for French and francophone Belgian citizens.
Instruction is in French, and mastery of written French — attested by TÉLUQ's own written test or an equivalent — is an admission condition in every program. As a fully online university, TÉLUQ has no residential campus or student housing.
