The Maîtrise en sciences interdisciplinaire individualisée, offered at Campus Saint-Jean in French, is a thesis-based graduate program organized around the Faculté Saint-Jean's major research axes, providing interdisciplinary scientific research training within Canada's Francophone minority context. Students choose a specialization combining disciplines from groupings such as Health Sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology; Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science; or Earth Sciences, Physics and Environment, and complete the program in collaboration with the University of Alberta's College of Natural and Applied Sciences. Students complete a minimum of eighteen units of coursework, including two required courses (Foundations of Scientific Research, and Experimental Design and Statistical Analysis in Scientific Research) and elective courses set by the supervisor and supervisory committee, followed by the preparation and defence of a thesis. Applicants must submit a letter of intent, two letters of reference, and a letter of support from a potential supervisor.

Admission Requirements: The minimum admission requirement is an undergraduate degree or recognized equivalent, with an admission GPA of at least 3.0 on the 4-point scale, calculated on the last 60 units of graded coursework or the equivalent of the last two years of full-time study. Applicants must have adequate French language proficiency, demonstrated either by a previous degree from an institution where the language of instruction was French, or by a satisfactory score on an approved French proficiency test; where applicable, applicants must also meet the minimum English language requirement. Applicants must submit a letter of intent in French describing their research orientation, two letters of reference addressed directly to Faculté Saint-Jean, and a letter of support from a potential supervisor.
