The Graduate Certificate in Software Security prepares IT professionals to provide security solutions for software systems, applications, mobile devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Delivered through classroom-based, on-campus instruction, the program gives students hands-on experience developing secure products, threat modeling, and security assessment, alongside skills for analyzing threats within legal and ethical contexts. It is designed for working IT professionals who want focused, graduate-level training in application and software security. Depending on the cohort schedule, full-time completion ranges from four to twelve months, with a maximum completion window of three years. The program admits students once a year, in the Fall term. As of this review, the university states that applications for this program are not currently being accepted.

Minimum GPA:3.00 / 4.0
Admission Requirements: Applicants need a four-year baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, or, for non-Computer-Science graduates, completed undergraduate coursework in programming, algorithms and data structures, and either operating systems or computer networks. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale over the past two years of full-time study is required, along with two letters of recommendation. No work samples or standardized test scores are required. Applicants whose primary language is not English must meet the university's English language proficiency requirements as outlined in the Academic Calendar.
