Overview
This combined-degree program leads to a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education, preparing students to teach mathematics while studying both pure and applied mathematics. Students also have the option to complete a Bachelor of Education after an approved undergraduate degree. Combined-degree Education programs at the University of Lethbridge are direct entry, so applicants apply using the admission requirements of the paired non-education degree, in this case the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. The program covers course-based training in mathematics alongside professional education coursework, including Education 2500 and a required set of courses in the teaching subject major.
