Cert in Accounting (CPA Bridging)

The Accounting (CPA Bridging) programme offers post-bachelor certificates for students who already hold an undergraduate degree and want an expedited pathway into an accounting career and the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). Three credential options are available: the Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting Fundamentals (10 courses), the Post-Bachelor Certificate in Advanced Accounting (6 courses), and the Post-Bachelor Combined Certificates in Accounting (16 courses). All courses are recognized for entry into the CPA PEP and are taught by PhD- and CPA-qualified faculty. Courses can be completed full-time (3 or more courses per term) or part-time (2 or fewer), including evening and weekend classes at the Lethbridge and Calgary campuses. The Advanced Accounting certificate can be completed in as little as eight months full-time, while the Combined Certificates option typically takes about two years full-time. Admission requires completion of an approved undergraduate degree, with the Advanced Accounting stream requiring an accounting major or a substantially similar background. The programme runs on the Fall and Winter intake cycle.
