This programme leads to a Master of Science (MSc) in Geography and examines the interaction between human beings and the global environment and the resulting problems and opportunities, drawing on a multidisciplinary combination of archaeology, environmental science and geography. Students complete two to six graduate-level courses developed in consultation with a supervisor, combined with a thesis; co-operative education placements are optional. Applicants must secure a potential supervisor before submitting an application. The programme is delivered in person on the Lethbridge campus, with full-time completion in 24 months or part-time completion in 48 months, and admits in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms. The programme falls under the School of Graduate Studies, which also requires all master's applicants to demonstrate English Language Proficiency (ELP) as part of its general admission criteria.
