Overview
The Bachelor of Arts (General) in Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Studies is a three-year, minimum 90-credit-hour undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba. The programme combines a 30-credit-hour major in Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Studies, covering the history, language, culture, and community life of Ukrainian Canadians, with an 18-credit-hour minor in another subject area chosen by the student. The remaining 42 credit hours are electives and general education requirements spanning humanities, social sciences, science, and Indigenous content categories set by the Faculty of Arts. Direct Entry from high school requires "a minimum 70% average over the following four courses with no less than 60% in each course: Grade 12 English 40S, Grade 12 Mathematics 40S, [and] Two additional academic Grade 12 40S courses." Transfer students must have "completed no fewer than 24 credit hours of university level coursework and must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00."
