Overview
The Major in Indigenous Studies is an undergraduate concentration within a Bachelor's degree at the University of Ottawa, designed for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. The program introduces students to the history, philosophy, cultures, arts and contemporary life of Indigenous peoples in Canada and around the world, drawing on multiple academic disciplines to examine Indigenous knowledge systems, governance and lived experience. The program is offered in both English and French and is administered through the Institute for Indigenous Research and Studies.
