Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Master of Health Sciences Physiotherapy

This combined program leads to an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics and a Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa, designed for bilingual students from Francophone minority high schools across Canada outside Quebec. It totals 150 units — 90 for the Bachelor and 63 for the Master — with the Master's stage running over six consecutive full-time terms, or two years, and including six clinical practicums totalling 1,042.5 hours distributed over 29 weeks. The Bachelor component emphasizes the social-science aspects of physical activity and health, developing skills for leading, promoting and implementing programs, policies and positive lifestyle behaviours. The Master's component trains bilingual physiotherapists to serve Francophone clients, with placements in French, bilingual and English settings requiring a working knowledge of English. A minimum grade of C+ in each course and Satisfactory in clinical placements is required to pass.
