Master of Education (Studies in Teaching and Learning)

The Master of Education with a concentration in Studies in Teaching and Learning, offered by the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Education, covers educational theories and pedagogies, assessment and evaluation strategies, technology integration in education, inclusive and special education practices, curriculum studies and design, and professional development and leadership. Students may complete the concentration through a coursework option, totalling 27 course units (3 compulsory, 15 concentration and 9 optional units) over 3 full-time terms or 12 consecutive months, or a research paper option totalling 24 course units plus a major research paper over 5 full-time terms or 20 consecutive months. Admission requires an honours bachelor's degree with a minimum overall undergraduate average of 70% (B). All candidates must demonstrate fluency in either French or English, the language of instruction.
