BA/BS in Art History at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada is a bachelor's degree in Art History programme. The programme runs for 4 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 39,007 per year (CAD 8,059 per year for local students).
This Art History program examines the history of the visual arts, including photography, sculpture, painting, architecture, video, performance, installation, film, and digital imaging, spanning traditional periods such as the Renaissance and Baroque alongside contemporary areas such as First Nations art history, postcolonial Canadian art, internet art, and visual culture studies. Four Bachelor of Arts pathways are available: a three-year degree, a four-year degree, an Honours track, and a Double Honours option. The program is offered full-time or part-time on the main campus, with an option to begin studies off-campus through flexible learning, and it admits students directly from high school. A Visiting Artist Program brings nationally and internationally recognized artists to campus for talks and workshops, and study-abroad opportunities allow students to take art courses in locations such as Europe or Japan. The program suits students interested in how visual forms, from painting to film to digital and internet media, produce meaning in contemporary culture, with potential career paths in museum curation, art therapy, arts administration, restoration, and art criticism.
