Admission Requirements: Electrical Engineering is entered through the College of Engineering's common first year: all students admitted to Engineering complete a shared first-year curriculum before declaring Electrical Engineering and competing for a place in the upper-year program. For direct entry from a Saskatchewan high school the college requires Chemistry 30, Physics 30 and Pre-Calculus 30, each with a minimum grade of 70%, plus a regular-admission average of 80% (90% qualifies for early admission), calculated from the required Grade 12 subjects. English proficiency is USask's general undergraduate Language Proficiency Regulations (admissions.usask.ca/requirements/english-language-proficiency.php): IELTS Academic 6.5/6.0, TOEFL iBT 86/19, PTE Academic 63/59, Duolingo 120/100, CAEL 70/60. Requirements differ for applicants from other provinces or countries, and the college designates seats for verified Indigenous applicants. This is a Fall (September) intake only.

Application Deadline:The University of Saskatchewan does not publish fixed general application deadlines for its direct-entry undergraduate colleges (Agriculture and Bioresources, Arts and Science, Education, Edwards School of Business, Engineering, Kinesiology, Dental Hygiene, Dental Therapy): admission requirements and deadlines for the 2027-28 cycle become available only once applications open on 25 September 2026, and the site gives no separate international closing date. Non-direct professional programs set their own dates instead: for September 2027 entry, the College of Law's JD opens 15 October 2026 with rolling review to a 1 February 2027 documents deadline and is not currently accepting international applicants; the College of Medicine's MD applications close 1 October 2026 for domestic (Canadian citizen/PR) applicants only; and the Nutrition program's single deadline is 15 March 2027 for both domestic and international applicants, with no late applications considered.
