The Graduate Professional Skills Certificate (GPSC) is a comprehensive, non-credit program at the University of Saskatchewan that develops graduate students' professional skills in critical thinking, communication and teamwork, management and leadership, entrepreneurship and career development, and ethics. The program relies on interactive, experiential, and case-based learning and is described by the university as one of the few certificates of its kind in Canada. Students complete experiential learning opportunities, including workshops, internships, and courses, mapped to ten skill domains, and document their learning with artifacts and a reflective commentary through the courses GPS 974.0 and GPS 984.0. Admission is open to students already registered in a graduate program or to University of Saskatchewan postdoctoral fellows; no separate academic average or standardized test score is required beyond current graduate or postdoctoral standing.
