Certified Dental Assistant Certificate is a certificate in Health Sciences programme taught at University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, Canada. The programme runs for 10 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 797 per credit (CAD 167 per credit for local students).
Over ten months, this certificate builds the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed for work as a certified dental assistant, combining clinical practice with lecture-based study. Clinical experience includes work at the university's own dental clinic along with two practica at local dentistry practices that provide full-time, hands-on experience. Accreditation for the program comes from the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and completion makes graduates eligible to sit the National Dental Assisting Board exam, required to register and gain certification through the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.
