Materials Science is an Honours Bachelor of Science Specialist program offered by the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto St. George campus. The program draws on the basic sciences of chemistry and physics together with applied areas such as metallurgy and ceramics, and is accredited by the Canadian Society for Chemistry. Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six subjects at the 4U/M level, including English (ENG4U/EAE4U). Required Grade 12 courses: Biology (SBI4U), Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), and Physics (SPH4U). The co-op component of Grade 12 courses is not used for admission. This is a limited-enrolment program requiring completion of 4.0 credits including introductory chemistry (CHM135H1/CHM136H1 or CHM151Y1); applicants with a final grade below 63% in any required course are not considered. Offered at the University of Toronto St. George campus (OUAC code TPG), leading to an Honours Bachelor of Science.
