The Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting at the University of Waterloo is a research-based thesis program that prepares students for an academic career. Students complete coursework, a research paper, and six research internships while developing expertise in a chosen specialization that combines core disciplines, subject areas, and research methods. Research fields include empirical and archival research in accounting, and judgement and decision-making.
