The PhD in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo trains researchers to apply an interdisciplinary approach to engineering problems at the cutting edge of technology and design. Where required, English language proficiency is demonstrated with a TOEFL score of 4.5 overall (writing 4.5, speaking 4, reading 4, listening 4) or an IELTS score of 6.5 overall (writing 6.0, speaking 6.0).
