Philosophy is offered as a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Windsor, available in both a three-year General and a four-year Honours format, and can be studied on its own or combined with another discipline. The program covers areas including philosophy and artificial intelligence, ethics and applied ethics, social and political thought, and argumentation theory, with small classes focused on contemporary issues. A co-op option is available, giving students the opportunity to gain paid work experience related to their studies. The department also offers exchange and study-abroad opportunities. Graduates are prepared for further study, including graduate work in philosophy or law, as well as careers that draw on analytical reasoning and argumentation across sectors such as public policy, education, and business.
