The Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Windsor is a two-semester program providing training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Students may complete an optional major paper to gain research experience. Applicants with a four-year honours economics degree must have completed advanced and intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, introductory econometrics, and university-level calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. Applicants with a three-year degree who lack these prerequisites can be admitted into a one-year qualifying program (M1) before starting the MA. The program prepares graduates for further PhD study or for employment in government, financial services, consulting, or academia. Admission is for the Fall term, and the program is administered by the Department of Economics.
