BA/BS in Economics and Finance

European University Cyprus teaches this bachelor's degree in economics and finance to give students analytical methods suited to careers in banking, the wider financial industry and the public sector. Students learn to apply economic reasoning to questions about markets, money and institutions. Through the university's affiliation with the CFA Institute, students can complement the investments course AEF350 with the Investment Foundations Certificate. The certificate introduces investment principles, professional ethics and how financial markets operate, adding an external credential to the academic degree and strengthening readiness for finance careers. The programme is taught on campus in English, so applicants should be comfortable studying in that language. It runs for 4 years and carries 240 ECTS credits, the credit unit used across the European higher education area. Teaching is based at the Nicosia campus.
