The BSc in Human Biology is a four-year, 240-credit undergraduate degree run jointly across schools and departments of the University of Nicosia. Students can follow either an English or a Greek academic path, and both full-time and part-time study are offered.
The programme looks at humanity from several angles at once, linking the biological, medical and social-cultural dimensions of how people originated, develop and function. Its aims include interdisciplinary teaching of molecular, cellular and organism-wide processes behind human life, health and disease, and showing students how the biological sciences relate to one another.
Graduates may move directly into postgraduate study in biosciences, biomedical and life and health sciences at MSc, MA, MRes or MPhil level. The university also teaches an MSc in Biomedical Sciences that graduates can follow.
