Advertising and Public Relations is a bachelor's programme taught in Estonian, with a nominal study time of three years extended to four, and 35 fee-paying places. Graduates receive the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences.
The department says its mission is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies on home and foreign markets, to help build a quality shared media space and to maintain and promote Estonian culture, even within a fairly commercial genre. It has taught and researched the field for more than 30 years. Applicants should have an open view of the world, creativity, curiosity about society, an analytical eye and readiness to work, study and engage with people from many walks of life.
Since the 2022/23 intake, part-time study is also offered. Part-time students take at least 30 credit points a year rather than 60, classes are mainly in the late afternoon and evening from 16:15, and the semester price depends on credits, at roughly 1800 to 2000 euros. Once the nominal period ends, certain scholarships and study loans are no longer available.
