Russian Philology is a three-year bachelor's programme taught in Estonian as full-time daytime study, with 30 places. It is aimed at graduates of upper secondary schools taught in Russian, Estonian or another language, provided that Russian is their native language or they speak it at least at level B2. Applicants who finished school years ago and wish to improve their knowledge in these fields are equally welcome.
The studies give a general cultural preparation, enrich students' language and sense of language, and improve their use of Russian. Students learn to respect other languages and to develop their own mother tongue.
The bachelor's programme aims to deepen knowledge of Russian language, literature, history and culture. A graduate quoted on the page, who now works as a consultant at a communication agency, says the studies laid the foundation he relies on in his career.
