MA/MS in Educational Science

Educational Science is a master's programme taught in Estonian that replaced the earlier education sciences programme from the 2025/2026 academic year. Full-time study takes 2 years and part-time study 3 years, organised as session-based study. The page lists 15 free full-time places and 10 paid part-time places. The programme suits inquiring people who work, or wish to work, as education specialists in bodies such as county education offices, the ministry of education and research, schools and kindergartens. Contact teaching takes place at the university, usually three times a month from Thursday to Saturday, with online sessions or days where scheduled, and the last semester is set aside for writing the thesis. Practice is done mainly outside the student's own workplace, Erasmus partnerships allow a semester or traineeship abroad, and parts of the programme can be completed flexibly through micro-credentials, although the degree requires finishing the programme as a whole.
