Fiji National University's Certificate in Office Assistance (Level 3) is a stand-alone qualification that gives students practical office skills for entry-level roles such as office assistant, front desk staff or customer service officer. Delivered over one year for 90 credit points at the Nasinu, Labasa, Namaka and Ba campuses, the programme introduces the day-to-day duties involved in running an efficient office administration section, covering accounting principles and financial reporting basics, office practice and filing methods, computer skills, office support skills, customer service and communication, basic microeconomics, and workplace communication. A two-month directed industrial attachment follows completion of half the coursework, giving students hands-on exposure to real office environments before they finish the programme. Entry requires a pass in Year 11 with at least 50 percent in English; applicants who have not completed this level of continuous education may still be admitted based on maturity, relevant work experience or prior learning.
