This diploma responds to growing interest in renewable and sustainable engineering, aiming to produce graduates who combine solid scientific and technical knowledge with sensitivity to community and environmental needs. Alongside core engineering fundamentals, students develop an all-round footing across engineering fields before concentrating on renewable and sustainable systems, gaining insight into engineering management as well as the rational, responsible use of resources.
Taught on campus at Samabula, the programme runs for three years and carries 360 credit points. A common first year in mathematics, graphics and applied mechanics leads into specialised second-year units such as wind energy systems, electrical machine drives and biomass energy, building toward the Renewable and Sustainable Engineering major.
