This logistics engineering degree develops the ability to view businesses holistically, understand the basics of both sea and land transport, and plan logistics solutions while evaluating their effects on an individual company and on the wider supply chain, including how international supply chains and business networks create customer-oriented services. Students learn to search for information, carry out analysis and make decisions that weigh technical, economic and sustainability considerations, alongside building the ability to work constructively within a team and in an international logistics setting. Teaching combines online study, assignments and projects based in work, information-system and software exercises, simulation games, lectures, company visits and internships, with the option of international exchange and multimodal study formats that allow studying alongside work. Described career paths span industry, trade, public administration and logistics service providers, in roles such as logistics manager, procurement engineer, buyer, transport planner, terminal manager, production planner, freight forwarder or development engineer.
