BA/BS in Kuvataiteilija (AMK)

The culture and arts degree in Fine Art (bildkonstnär) is a 240 ECTS programme taught in Swedish over four years, centred on developing a personal artistic expression and the competences needed to work in contemporary art. Teaching takes place mainly at Campus Allegro in Jakobstad, where students have their own studio space. Students practise drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography, as well as video, performance, community art and sound art. Art history, art theory and philosophy support critical analysis, and an entrepreneurship course prepares graduates to work as professional artists. Flexible online arrangements are available for some periods.
