DPInvest, a cross-disciplinary, international PhD programme under the University of Turku Graduate School (UTUGS), trains specialists in social and behavioural sciences, combining sociology and psychology within the Faculty of Social Sciences with child psychiatry within the Faculty of Medicine. It also connects to the INVEST Research Flagship Center, which works toward a more equitable, better targeted and economically and socially sustainable welfare model, tackling what stands in the way of children's and young people's well-being by means of evidence-based interventions, while also looking for ways to support families facing accumulated deprivation and to use societal resources more efficiently.
