Overview
The Licence in literature, preparatory pathway for primary teaching (3PE), combines general literary and artistic culture with analysis and expression skills in both oral and written form. Teaching is split across three blocks. Lycée courses reinforce French, mathematics, history-geography, physical education, philosophy, sciences, technology, arts and English. University courses in the literature department provide specialisation, and INSPE-led courses prepare students to teach in primary school, covering subject knowledge and teaching methods. Semester one includes language, literary methods, literary and artistic knowledge, and scientific culture units. The degree is at Bac+3 level with 180 ECTS.
