Biophysics uses physical methods to analyse and understand the complexity of life at all levels. The master's programme offers a solid base of practical skills and top-level research together with a flexible, interdisciplinary curriculum.
The first year concentrates on laboratory experiments and lectures, and the second year is dominated by an extensive research phase. The biophysics laboratory course is regarded as the heart of the programme, and students learn to apply quantitative thinking in a dynamic environment.
The curriculum comprises a supplementary area, biophysics, specialisation, a practical course, a biophysics research project and the master's thesis. Laboratories and rooms are up to date. Teaching is in English, admission is open, and study can begin in either semester.
