Program details
Overview
The master's programme in political science is offered by the School of Social Sciences and is available as distance learning. It suits students who want to specialise in one of the main branches of political science that are not taught as separate study tracks.
The aim is to train students to solve research problems with further study in mind, while the degree also gives a sound basis for a wide range of jobs in the labour market.
The study plan is not tied to a particular year or term. Its central element is the master's thesis in political science, an independent research project carried out under the guidance of a supervising teacher. In the thesis the student tackles an academically demanding subject and applies theory in an original way.
