Overview

This Bachelor of Business Studies pairs business with accounting for three years, or four years for the BBA with a placement or study year. Accounting is taught from first principles, so no prior accounting knowledge is required, and the two subjects are studied together throughout the degree. Graduates are exempt from the first-level exams of Chartered Accountants Ireland and receive equivalent exemptions from ACCA and CIMA papers, which helps students progress toward full professional accounting status. Students can take a placement or study abroad year after second year, and the degree then runs for four years.
