Overview
Delivered jointly by Turība University of Business Administration and Daugavpils University, this doctorate provides high-level study and active research training in management science, developing the competencies candidates need to carry out independent research to completion and produce original, empirically verified results, demonstrating internationally comparable experience in organising and leading research work.
Candidates learn to apply research methodology and both qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate theoretical and practical management problems, working toward a substantial piece of original research, part of which reaches the standard of internationally recognised publications. The programme also builds the ability to independently propose research ideas, plan and lead large-scale scientific projects including in international collaboration, teach at higher education institutions, and communicate research findings to academic and public audiences. Graduates are prepared for academic careers as well as roles leading research and development work within companies, institutions and organisations.
