PhD in Education Sciences

This doctoral programme in Education Sciences is delivered together with the University of Latvia, Liepāja University and Daugavpils University. It builds doctoral students' research and academic competence for independent, innovative work that develops educational-sciences theory and improves pedagogical practice at every stage of education, from pre-school through to adult learning, in Latvia and internationally, leading to original doctoral research defended publicly. Course content stays open to new ideas and builds understanding of global and local social, political, economic and educational processes, developing the professional competencies for creative, independent work across different social settings using current communication technologies and resources, with an overall orientation toward research and innovation in education.
