The programme is organised around four thematic blocks: Russia's domestic and foreign policy; the sub-regions of Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia; the methods, methodology and theories of international relations and diplomacy; and Latvian and Russian language proficiency. Among the expected learning outcomes are the ability to model future scenarios and work with empirical phenomena, to navigate major international relations issues within their current historical context, and to interpret and anticipate Russia's internal processes and its foreign policy behaviour. It is oriented toward careers in the national diplomatic corps as well as in international organisations, universities, think-tanks and commercial companies, with a focus on Russia and Eurasian issues.
