Overview
This programme covers three interlocking training areas - mechanics, electronics and computer engineering - built on a foundation of mathematics, physics, technical graphics, electrical engineering, metrology and measurement technology. Specialised coursework covers mechanical design, electric drives, the internet of things and sensor systems, industrial electronic systems, programming, computer control systems, robot control and artificial intelligence, preparing students for production and automation work.
Theory is reinforced through three internships, three coursework projects, three electronics engineering projects, two smart-technology projects and a cloud computing project. Graduates learn to develop automation algorithms for technological processes, design computer control systems, monitor and assemble equipment, and advise on the efficiency of automation solutions. The degree also provides a foundation for continuing into master's study in engineering, mechatronics or related fields.
