This professional master's prepares specialists to make engineering-grounded economic decisions and coordinate the economic and administrative processes behind urban and regional development, combining economics, management and engineering coursework. Students learn to apply micro- and macroeconomic theory to regional and urban problems, carry out economic calculations connected to sustainable development, and assess the infrastructure and transport-planning principles that shape growing cities and regions.
Coursework also covers local and regional budget planning, green-economy policy, and the social and political factors that influence territorial development, alongside training in preparing and delivering local and international projects in interdisciplinary teams. Graduates are equipped to work in any sector connected to territorial planning, taking on roles in state and municipal institutions, international organisations, commercial companies and non-governmental organisations, and the degree also opens a path into doctoral study.
