BA/BS in Computer systems

This professional bachelor's programme at Turība University is taught in English and takes either four or 4.4 years. It qualifies graduates as Software Engineers. Core subjects include software engineering, systems analysis, computer architecture, databases and artificial intelligence. Students are trained to work independently in informatics, to think in terms of whole systems, to take different roles in a software development project and to follow the professional standard and ethics expected of programming engineers. Research methods based on experiments, modelling and simulation are also taught. Internships take place at international information and communications technology firms such as Accenture Latvia, Scandiweb and TestDevLab. Graduates are prepared to continue into professional master's studies, and the programme is tied to a professional standard for software engineers.
