Tuition for international students is EUR 400 per semester (EUR 400 per semester for local students).
This programme of the Doctoral School in Science and Engineering is organised jointly by the university's Physics and Materials Science research unit and the materials department of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. Doctoral research focuses on the physics of materials and wider materials science, giving candidates access to both academic and institute laboratories. Applicants need a master's in physics, chemistry, materials science or a comparable subject. Candidates are typically employed under a work contract with either the university or the institute, and the programme takes three to four years in English.
