Offered by Université du Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, Master in Architecture is a master's degree in Architecture programme. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. It carries 120.0 credits (ECTS). Tuition for international students is EUR 400 per semester (EUR 400 per semester for local students).
Taught in English, this two-year, research-driven Master in Architecture centres on how buildings, cities and territories can respond to the socio-ecological transition. Students work across scales, from the regional territory and the urban fabric down to neighbourhoods and individual buildings, and use a range of media to develop and communicate their ideas. Studio work engages with planning and design but also with policy, negotiation and storytelling, often in collaboration with local stakeholders and with the university's geography and spatial planning department. Before the third semester, students complete an internship of at least two months in an architectural practice, and the final semester is dedicated to a Master thesis. The programme is full-time, though part-time student status can be granted. Admission is competitive and limited in number: candidates need an architecture Bachelor and must submit a portfolio of design work, with shortlisted applicants interviewed online. Graduates pursue research or design careers in architecture and urbanism, or continue to doctoral study.
